3D print

This experiment is to get 2 printed parts of an object to have it larger.
Because 3D printers have size limitations. Depending of the material ect.
I started from what I got using 123Dcatch with that fire in my garden.

.

.
Here is the entire object uploaded on sculpteo.
http://www.sculpteo.com/fr/print/feu16051403/g8m6jNuk?uuid=n9XTOsdVxmFAE59HQMqV5e
I ordered it for 96 euros.

Then I uploaded 2 parts
(using Fluxstudio to cut the vrml object into 2 parts, then Blender to 'solidify' each of them).

.

.

.
Drag a part in the vrml version (that needs a plugin, but if you dont have it, dont click and dont worry):

.
Now I must order the 2 parts

.

As always I made a video:

Maker Faire Paris asked me how I want to resume my art.
I wrote:
"
Je scanne les motifs que j’aime;
et des objets virtuels ainsi créés (paysages, portraits, architectures...)
je fais des sculptures (par impression 3D) et des vidéos."

And here it is time to copy what my dear friend Thyme wrote for my ulule project:

Best wishes for you're 3D snapshots of reality project Alain :)
